The 2017 Chenin Blanc was made from 100% Bot River fruit, capturing the full fl avor and potential that the Bot River terroir has to o er. It is a delicious example of cooler climate Chenin Blanc fermented in concrete and stainless steel tanks. Dry, fresh and delicious. The 2017 vintage was one of the driest years in Beaumonts history. Despite this, the quality of the fruit was amazing. Tiny berries, high natural acid levels and great fruit purity. No rot! Grapes were picked early to preserve freshness and balance in the wine. Fermentation was very slow and cool. Batches were fermented separately with di erent yeast strains to add complexity to the wine. It was then blended after fermentation.
