La Hueta Vineyard, located on the foothills of the Sierra Cantabria Mountains, is planted on a steep slope of clay soils. Vines are 25 years old and held at yields of just over 2 tons per acre. Fermentation occurs in concrete eggs, with the aim to preserve the purity of fruit and the minerality. 50% percent of the finished wine ages on lees in French oak, while the remaining 50% stays in concrete. Cifras Garnacha is juicy on the palate with a just a hint of vanilla from the oak. Great freshness thanks to the good acidity makes the wine long and precise. Very approachable but well structured. A pure example of Garnacha from Rioja!
