Minusculas, a blend of equal parts Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano, comes from Las Torcas vineyard, the family's first vineyard. The soil here contains limestone and clay and sits situated with a southeast exposure, which results in healthy, early ripening fruit. The grapes for Letras Minusculas go through a cold maceration for two days in stainless steel tanks. Aging takes place in French barriques for a maximum of four months. Deep red cherry color. The nose is very intense, dominated by red fruit from the Garnacha and dark more savory characteristics from the Tempranillo. Letras Minusculas is powerful and complex, an explosion of fruit that offers round tannins that are firm enough to provide the wine with a good structure. The oak component is subtle and well integrated.
