The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown exclusively on the Elderton Vineyard situated on the banks of the North Para River. A proven consistent performer, we believe that the 2013 will continue in this trend. The Elderton vineyard has very old deep alluvial soils over limestone with the majority of the Cabernet vines ranging between the ages of 19–72 years. With a Mediterranean climate, the Baumé reaches 13.50–14.50. The 2015 was matured in predominantly 2nd and 3rd fill French hogsheads and puncheons for 22 months. The wine is full-bodied and rich, showing the classic Barossa Cabernet characteristics of blackberries, cassis and beetroot earthiness. and is drinking well today but will cellar for 10+ years. Full bodied, rich. Deep purple AROMA: Blackberry, cassis, beetroot with flavors of Red berries, beetroot, chocolate
